All CNA students, please read the tutorials below. All students must have the Zoom app already downloaded on their computer or tablet in order to participate in the courses. Please refer to your welcome Email for the Zoom link which is also sent via class group text. Cell phones are discouraged as they may not capture the learning materials. Please note you must always be logged in to access the YAYA courses so always make sure you are logged in and access the courses through “My Dashboard” at the bottom of the page for class resources and quizzes.
Course Expectations
Please Review the Attendance and Participation Guidelines posted in the Students’ Handbook. As a reminder, all students are expected to be in class and logged in 8am for attendance. Excessive tardies for more than 15 minutes will result in dismissal from class.
Students must observe virtual platforms best practices by finding a quiet place during Zoom classes prepared with their computer, notebook and a Pen. Students should find a comfortable place that will not provide distractions and must note that participation in class interaction is expected.
All students are expected to utilize the student forums for discussions regarding the modules. Please be respectful when responding to a colleague’s comment and utilize online learning etiquette.
If students needs assistance outside of class, notify the instructor for a one on one sessions via telephone or web conferencing.
In addition to the lectures, students are expected to watch the extra resources provided to you through the PowerPoint Presentations and also watch the skills videos provided.
Please check your emails daily for class updates and also check the group texts on the forums or on the class group text.
All students are expected to interact with the instructor and colleagues in a respectful matter and raise hands on zoom if they have and questions.
Students interruptions will not be tolerated and students must display professionalism during our Zoom lessons.
Students are expected to notify the instructor immediately if they are having any technological difficulties immediately through calls/texts to the main YAYA line at 310-404-6827.
In the event we are unable to hold Zoom classes, a link will be sent for google meets through google classroom via group text and emails as well so make sure you check your emails including spam mail.
During lectures, students are expected to mute themselves and remain muted except when they are participating in the discussions.
All students must watch the Skills Videos using the link below. All students have access to the Hartman Skills Videos using the link below and the password yaya6827 (the last 4 numbers of our school phone number).

Students must complete the module-associated quizzes for all the 17 modules. Please note you must score a minimum of 80% to pass the quiz and you only have 3 attempts to pass the quiz so it is important that you pay attention in class and write good notes. In addition, it is recommended that you watch all the supplemental Power Point Presentations and read the assigned readings from the textbook in order to be adequately prepared for the quizzes.
